The level of new house grants was fully considered in conjunction with the Housing Act, 1970, which became law on 5th August, 1970. It is not proposed at present to make further increases in these grants. As regards grants for reconstruction, I would refer the Deputy to the replies to Question No. 93 of 23rd July, 1970, Question No. 94 of 18th June, 1970, and Question No. 35 of 8th April, 1970.
