Vol. 249 No. 8

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take No. 18 (Votes 8 and 38). Questions at 2.30 p.m.

On the Order of Business, is the Tánaiste aware that an Irish trawler has been boarded?

The Deputy may not raise the matter in this fashion. A Private Notice Question has been handed in.

(Interruptions.)

Would the Deputy please resume his seat? A Private Notice Question has been handed in and it is being considered at the moment.

I give notice of my desire to raise on the Adjournment the forcible boarding of Irish vessels by British naval parties and the action which the Minister for External Affairs should take to make known to the British Government our strong condemnation of these serious confronts to Irish sovereignty and a warning of the dangers inherent in such action.

The Chair will communicate with Deputy Ryan.
