An up-to-date assessment of housing needs is due to be made by all local housing authorities for the five year period commencing on 1st April next. The last general assessment of needs in County Donegal was made in 1967. This indicated that the needs to be met at that time by the local authorities and by private enterprise were estimated to be as follows:— Buncrana Urban District—100 houses; Bundoran Urban District—12 houses; Letterkenny Urban District—146 houses; Donegal County Health District— 3,974 houses.
