Arrangements for the leasing of portion of a new office block in St. Augustine Street, Galway, for State purposes have reached an advanced stage and it is expected that the premises will be ready for occupation in about three months time. Some of the staff at present housed in the Custom House will be transferred to the new premises and as a result the congestion in the Custom House will be relieved.
