There are about 35 factories in the Tallaght area.
While it is not possible to indicate the total amount of land in the area which may ultimately be available for further industrial development, I understand that there are 86 acres immediately available for this purpose.
In view of the largescale housing development and the potential labour pool available in Tallaght will the Minister ensure that every effort is made to expedite industrial development to cater for this large pool?
The IDA are fully aware of the facts of the situation and are making available to industrialists information about the availability of the huge labour potential in the area.
