Vol. 250 No. 6

Committee on Finance. - Vote 3 : Department of the Taoiseach.

move:

That a sum not exceeding £79,300 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1971, for the salaries and expenses of the Department of the Taoiseach.

That concerns the Adjournment Debate?

It is just a token.

There does not seem to be any point in that seeing that there are only a few days left.

I understand Vote No. 3 will also be passed but there will also be a full debate on it on the Adjournment.

All right, but it does not seem to be a sensible thing to do.

It is necessary for the Appropriation Bill going to the Seanad that these be passed.

Would the Minister say whether the Seanad will have finished with these before we reach the Adjournment Debate?

Motion to refer back, by leave, withdrawn.
Question put and agreed to.
Main Estimates Nos. I to 26, 34 to 39 and 41 to 49, inclusive, and Supplementary Estimates Nos. 37 and 41 and Additional Estimate No. 50 reported and agreed to.
