No decision has been taken to grant sub-postmasters a five-day week. A claim submitted recently by the Sub-Postmasters' Union for a Monday to Friday five-day week for counter, mail and telegraph business at sub-offices is however under consideration by the Sub-Postmasters' Conciliation Council under the Scheme of Conciliation and Arbitration for sub-postmasters. It would be inappropriate for me to comment on the claim while it is under consideration by the council.
