49.

asked the Minister for Finance (a) the number of pairs of footwear imported from Northern Ireland by residents of the Republic on which duty was paid and (b) the amount of duty per pair.

50.

asked the Minister for Finance (a) the number of pairs of footwear imported in bulk orders during the last twelve month period for which figures are available and (b) the amount of duty collected on same giving the average amount per pair.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 49 and 50 together and as the answer is in the form of a tabular statement to circulate it with the Official Report.
