A special veterinary survey of all bacon factories was undertaken by my Department early in 1969 as part of a review of standards generally at the factories. Any communication on matters arising therefrom in regard to an individual factory was sent direct to the factory, this being addressed in the case of the CWS factory to the manager at Tralee.
