The Government's policy on rationalisation and reorganisation of the creamery milk industry is set out in the Third Programme for Economic and Social Development, pages 55 and 56.
While some advance has been made with rationalisation measures in a number of areas I would like to see greater and more rapid progress by the Co-op. creamery industry in this respect. In the promotion of such measures, the IAOS and my Department have been prepared to give every advice and assistance possible.
