†Preliminary estimates.
Would the Parliamentary Secretary please give the figures for 1965 and 1970?
They are not broken down in that fashion in my comprehensive list. However, I would refer the leader of the Labour Party to the Official Report dated 11th February, Volume 251, column 1299, where the Minister for Industry and Commerce on the Adjournment debate quoted the total number of vehicles assembled in the Irish car assembly industry in 1965 as 49,709 and in 1970 as 52,976.
Therefore, it has improved?
Yes.
