asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will make a comprehensive statement on his recent meeting with British Ministers regarding matters of mutual interest relative to Ireland's proposed entry to the EEC.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on his most recent meeting with British Ministers; and what matters were discussed.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will give the basis for his satisfaction after his talks with the British Foreign Secretary on the Northern Ireland situation.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the outcome of his discussions with the British Foreign Secretary last week.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7 together.

I had two meetings in London last Thursday—one with the British Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary in which we discussed among other subjects the North of Ireland, with special reference to the question of equal treatment of people there in accordance with the Downing Street guarantees of the 19th August, 1969.

At a second meeting with Mr. Rippon, the discussion covered the progress of the negotiations at present being conducted by both countries for membership of the European Communities.
