As some considerable time must elapse before the task of processing the statistics of full-time education collected on 1st February, 1971, can be completed, I am not in a position to furnish the information requested by the Deputy for 1971.
As the Deputy is aware the last Census of Population was taken in 1966. Projecting the relative figure for that year to 1970 and taking the actual number of the 17 to 18 age cohort in full-time education in 1970 the percentage is 44.8.
