Comprehensive proposals relating to the reorganisation of the staffing structure of the customs and excise outdoor service have recently been put before the staff associations concerned. In accordance with normal negotiating procedure these proposals now fall to be discussed by the Revenue Departmental Council. In due course the council will submit its report to me which will include recommendations as to how and when the proposed scheme of reorganisation should be implemented.
