I would refer the Deputy to the reply in the House on 5th February, 1970 to questions on this subject from Deputies Desmond and Michael O'Leary. Until the Inland Fisheries Commission has completed its work I do not think I shall be in a position to produce a better estimate than that given in reply to the earlier question.
Can the Minister give us any idea when the commission will be in a position to report back to him?
I am afraid I have not got that information.
Is the Minister aware that the question to which he referred me was tabled over 14 months ago?
Yes and it is, therefore, to be assumed that the culmination of the commission's labours is that much nearer.
