Vol. 253 No. 10

Industrial Credit (Amendment) Bill, 1970: Money Resolution.

I move:

That it is expedient to authorise such charges on and payments out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof and such payments out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas as are necessary to give effect to any Act of the present session to amend and extend the Industrial Credit Acts, 1933 to 1959.

Will the Industrial Credit Company be involved under the current Central Bank legislation? Will it be regarded as a licensed bank?

No, it would not come in under the Central Bank control in the sense that it is already governed by Statute and under the control of the Minister for Finance.

Question put and agreed to.
Money Resolution reported and agreed to.
