The Industrial Development Authority's first five-year regional industrial development plans are expected to be issued before the end of this year. Consultations with Government Departments and local planning authorities in connection with the preparation of the draft plans have already taken place and further consultations with Government Departments and State agencies will be necessary before publication. After publication, the authority proposes to have consultations with other interests such as voluntary associations, trade unions, local authorities and industrialists. Full account will be taken of the views expressed during these consultations in the preparation of subsequent reviews of the plans.
