asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each of the past ten years (a) the total amount of taxes collected (including petrol, diesel, turnover, road and any other taxes) on all types of mechanically propelled vehicles; (b) the amount paid to the Road Fund; and (c) if he will express the figure at (b) as a percentage of the figure at (a).

* In addition, turnover tax and wholesale tax are payable on receipts from sales of passenger motor vehicles; turnover tax only is payable on receipts from sales of petrol, diesel oil and motor car parts. Separate receipts from these taxes of the commodities mentioned are not available.
