I am informed by Bord Fáilte that the Lanesboro amenity scheme is being carried out by Longford County Council and that the board undertook to contribute a grant of £3,000 towards the cost of Stage 1 of the scheme which relates to bank improvement, access and boating facilities of value to angling tourism. So far Bord Fáilte have paid £1,500 of the grant and the balance will be paid when the work has been completed. The initiation of Stage 2 is a matter for the county council.
Is Bord Fáilte contributing anything to Stage 2?
Yes. It is £3,000 altogether. They have paid £1,500 and they will pay another £1,500.
The £3,000 is for both stages?
Yes.
