Twenty-four factories, in respect of which grant assistance was provided, closed down during the five-year period ended 31st March, 1971. A total of £1,604,270 was paid in grants towards these factories and sums amounting to £221,358 have so far been recovered.
Pending completion of liquidation proceedings in some of these cases it is not possible to say what further sums may be recovered.
