asked the Minister for Finance if any instructions have been given that officials of the Agricultural Credit Corporation are not to discuss transactions with members of the Oireachtas by telephone; and, if so, the reason for such instructions.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Credit Corporation.
I understand from the Agricultural Credit Corporation that no such instructions have been given to their officials.
Arising from the Minister's reply, on Thursday and Friday——
Would the Deputy put a question, please?
——I had occasion to bring the chief officer in the hire purchase end of the ACC. I was told on a number of occasions that he was not available. I left a message for him to ring me and to ring me here in Dublin on Friday. He did not do that and when I rang back I was told he had just gone out. I do not think that that is any way for a member of the ACC or any other semi-State body to treat a Member of this House.
Deputies

I have no knowledge whatever of the incident to which the Deputy is referring. All I can say is that no instructions whatever of the kind suggested in the question have been given.
May I ask the Minister if he would——
The Deputy may not persist with supplementaries.
——investigate this particular case?
Yes, I shall certainly look into it.
