Vol. 254 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Children's Allowance.

17.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a widow (details supplied) in Dublin has been denied a children's allowance in respect of her son.

There is no trace of a claim for a children's allowance in respect of the person referred to at the address quoted by the Deputy. There is, however, a claim in payment from a widow of that name, residing in an adjacent locality in Dublin. This claimant ceased to be entitled to a children's allowance in respect of her son from the 1st May, 1971 as he reached the statutory age limit of 16 years on the 5th April, last.
