Possession of this property has not as yet passed to the Land Commission. Just now the position is that proceedings for compulsory acquisition of 160 acres have reached the stage where the question of price remains to be settled.
Could the Minister say how long negotiations have been taking place?
Proceedings began in April, 1957. There was a late objection allowed in 1968. In the meantime a transfer had to be made from the trustees to the beneficiary. I understand this has not yet been completed. The delay is due, therefore, to a number of factors.

asked the Minister for Lands whether any migrants have been allocated land in County Wexford in the past ten years; if so, the number of migrants and the estate allocated in each case.
In the ten years from 1961-62 to 1970-71, inclusive, a total of 15 holdings were allotted to migrants in County Wexford. All the migrants were from within the county itself.

asked the Minister for Lands the number of holdings in County Wexford divided by the Land Commission in the past ten years; the acreage thereof; the acreage given to each allottee; and the total resultant acreage of each allottee's farm.
In the ten years from 1961-62 to 1970-71, inclusive, a total of 82 estates and holdings, aggregating 8,211 acres, were divided in County Wexford in 284 allotments, including enlargements for 207 uneconomic holdings, 19 parcels in connection with rearrangement schemes and 15 holdings for migrants.
The Deputy will appreciate that to list the area of each of these 284 allotments, together with the resultant acreage of each of the 226 enlarged and rearranged holdings, would entail a disproportionate expenditure of time and labour which would scarcely be warranted. If there is any further information I can give the Deputy in regard to this matter I shall be glad to make it available to him.
