Returns submitted by local authorities to my Department indicate that at the 31st March, 1970, a total of 45,516 dwellings were let to tenants by Dublin Corporation, 1,304 by Dublin County Council, 3,556 by Dún Laoghaire Corporation, 3,415 by Waterford Corporation, 8,138 by Cork Corporation and 1,387 by Galway Corporation.
