A scheme for the improvement of berthage conditions at Caherciveen pier is being prepared but at this stage I am not in a position to indicate when work may commence.

asked the Minister for Finance when work on the slip at Beal-Tra, Caherdaniel, County Kerry will commence; whether the site difficulties have been overcome; and, if not, what steps are being taken to overcome the difficulties involved.
The necessary land having been acquired by the Kerry County Council, work commenced in May, 1971.
