I approved the acceptance of a tender for the first stage of this scheme, comprising six houses, on the 22nd January, 1970, and for the second stage, comprising four houses, on the 28th August, 1970. The approximate date for completion of both stages was then given as March, 1971. The management of the contract is a matter entirely between the county council and the contractor. There is no information available in my Department as to when the scheme will be finished or the reasons for delay in completing it.
