Vol. 255 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pending Redundancy.

38.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the total amount of adaptation or other grants, if any, received by a company (name supplied) in County Dublin.

39.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the pending redundancy in a company (name supplied) in County Dublin; and if he will state the cause thereof.

With you permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 38 and 39 together.

I am aware of the pending redundancy in the company concerned. They have informed me that they have found it necessary to reorganise their operations and that they may reopen at another location with fewer workers.

An adaptation grant of £21,630 and a technical assistance grant of £26 were paid to the company.

Could the Minister say if any information has been given as to the other location and whether it might be in south county Dublin?

No, I have not got information and I was particularly noticing this. I have not got an indication where the alternative location is to be.
