andMr. L. Burke asked the Minister for Social Welfare if, in view of the special circumstances of the case, he will reconsider the claim of a person (name supplied) in Cork for a deserted wife's allowance.

The claim of the person referred to in the question for a deserted wife's allowance was disallowed by a deciding officer. An appeal was received against this decision and is under consideration. The result of the appeal will be notified to the Deputies in due course.
