Vol. 255 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Valuation Appeals.

24.

asked the Minister for Finance if all possible steps will be taken to shorten the waiting period for valuation appeals at the Valuation Office, Dublin.

I am assured by the Commissioner of Valuation that he is taking all steps possible in accordance with the Valuation Acts to expedite his decisions on appeals against valuations revised with effect from 1st March, 1971 and the subsequent transmission to each rating authority for publication of his list of decisions on valuation appeals.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary say what is the present rate?

It is expected that the decision will be ready about November and it will be retrospective to 31st March. That is in relation to Dublin actually. However, I think they are all the same.
