On Ireland's entry into the EEC it is likely that the structure of the board will need to be altered in some respects and certain of the Board's present functions which are not in conformity with EEC arrangements may have to be modified. There is no reason, however, why the board should not continue to perform many of its present functions such as the successful marketing of Kerrygold butter and cheese. It could scarcely be regarded as being in our interests to revert to a situation where over a hundred firms will be exporting individually and in many cases in small quantities.
