Following is the reply:
The salary scales for chief executive officers of health boards are as follows:—
Eastern Health Board: £5,770 x £143—£6,345; Southern, South Eastern and Western Health Boards: £5,185 x £143—£5,760; Other Health Boards: £4,600 x £144—£5,175. There is no post of assistant chief executive officer under a health board.
The salary scales for programme managers are as follows:—
Eastern Health Board: £4,600 x £144—£5,175; All other Health Boards: £3,840 x £125—£4,465.
Are these figures so detailed and elaborate that the Minister could not read them out? There are only eight health boards.
