Vol. 256 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Bay Navigational Hazards.

30.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power what new navigational hazards have been recorded in Dublin Bay approaches in the last decade and what steps have been taken to deal with them.

I am informed by the Commissioners of Irish Lights that within the past ten years three instances of changes in recorded depths have come to their notice in the area of the Dublin Bay approaches at locations near the Baily Lighthouse, the Burford Bank and the Kish Bank. In each case the necessary amendments have been made to Admiralty charts.

I am informed by the Dublin Port and Docks Board that no new navigational hazards have been recorded within the limits of their jurisdiction during the period.
