Vol. 256 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Primary School.

38.

asked the Minister for Education when building will commence on the primary school in Palmerstown, County Dublin.

A grant has been sanctioned towards the cost of the provision of 12 additional classrooms at the Palmerstown national schools. As the Deputy is no doubt aware, the very heavy programme of school building makes it necessary for us to draw up priority lists. I hope that it will be possible for us to include the Palmerstown project in the list for 1972-73.

Is it not right to say that the school was tenth on the priority list last year? Has it been removed from the priority list?

I am not aware of where the school happened to be but, as far as I am concerned, it certainly was not changed.

Would the Minister mind looking into this because I am assured it was on the priority list and it now appears to have been taken off.

Certainly I did not take it off.

The Minister is responsible.

The remaining questions will appear on tomorrow's Order Paper.
