asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applications for new telephones awaiting connection in County Wexford; and the number of such applications he hopes to meet in the next three months.

There are about 290 applications for telephones awaiting attention in County Wexford. It is expected that about 120 of these will be attended to during the next three months.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when Edenderry telephone exchange, County Offaly, will be made automatic.

It is planned to convert Edenderry telephone exchange to automatic working in about four years time.

165.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the present position regarding the automatic telephone exchange at Dungarvan, County Waterford; and how soon it will be in operation.

An order has been placed for the supply and installation of an automatic exchange at Dungarvan. On the basis of the contractor's forecast the new exchange will be ready for service early in 1974.
