The Industrial Development Authority, in conjunction with Meath County Council, has been endeavouring to obtain a suitable site for the advance factory at Kells. An acceptable site has not yet been obtained and it is not possible, therefore, to furnish the information requested by the Deputy.
Is the Minister aware that unemployment in Kells is running at roughly 40 per cent higher than it was in the same period last year and, in view of this, would be treat this matter with the utmost urgency?
Indeed, I agree with the Deputy and, perhaps, the Deputy might use his good offices with the Meath County Council which is the party delaying.
