The increased grants which apply to applicants accepted into the scheme on or after 1st January, 1972, relate to the revised conditions of the scheme operative as from that date. Consequently, the increased grants do not extend to those in the scheme before 1st January. Representations on this point have, however, been made to me by the Irish Creamery Milk Suppliers' Association and other organisations and I am having the matter looked into.
