63.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he will be in a position to approve the layout plans for the following housing schemes submitted by Offaly County Council: (a) Ballycumber; (b) Crinkle; (c) Rhode; (d) Geashill and (e) Edenderry.

I propose with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 62 and 63 together.

Sketch layout plans for a scheme comprising local authority housing and private sites development at Edenderry were received in my Department on 24th February, 1972. These plans have been the subject of discussions between my Department's technical advisers and those of the housing authority, and a revised lay-out is being prepared by the county council.

Layout plans for the rest of these schemes were also received in my Department on 24th February, 1972. They are being examined and a decision on them will be given shortly.
