Six of the eight State grants allocated for this scheme were paid in 1968 and a seventh in January, 1971. The remaining grant will be paid shortly. The final costings for the work show an increase on the original estimated cost. This information has been conveyed to the county council and will allow full supplementary grants to be paid to the group. Payment of the outstanding State grant was deferred until it had been established that there were no operational difficulties in the scheme.
