asked the Minister for Labour the number of cases heard by the Labour Court in 1971; and the decisions given in each case.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Labour Court Hearings.
24.
A total of 162 cases was heard by the Labour Court during 1971.
It would not be practicable to give particulars of each recommendation made by the Labour Court. In making a recommendation, the court sets out the submissions and arguments put forward by both sides to the dispute. These would have to be read in full in order to get a proper understanding of the recommendatory paragraph.
Are they available in the Minister's Department?
Yes, and I will let the Deputy have all of them that are not confidential. Both sides have the right to have their report treated as confidential. There is only one such report.
