asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of each Department of State (a) how many administrative officers are now serving in that Department; (b) how many members of the staff of that Department entered the Civil Service as administrative officers; and (c) the number of administrative officers appointed to that Department in each of the years 1955-71.

The information sought by the Deputy is set out in a statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
