asked the Minister for Local Government the hours of duty for local authority officers generally, namely (a) clerical employees, (b) technical employees, other than in major offices, for each county council on record in his Department under the Local Government (Officers) Regulation, 1943, as amended or otherwise.

The information in my Department indicates that the hours of duty for clerical and technical staff in county councils are generally the same. The hours are determined locally in each county council and have not been regulated under the Local Government (Officers) Regulations. The following table, based on information recently received from county councils, shows the hours of duty for these officers in each county:
