The teacher concerned was appointed as a secondary teacher in August last but it was not disclosed in the appointment documents forwarded to my Department that he had transferred from national teaching. My Department was informally made aware, last March, that the teacher had, in fact, transferred from national teaching. His incremental salary has since been adjusted and a payable order for the arrears issued to him on 12th May last.
