I and my predecessors have regularly encouraged school authorities to make these facilities available, wherever possible, to responsible groups involved in sport and youth activities.
COSAC—The National Council for Sport and Physical Recreation—is at present in the process of conducting a survey of school facilities and their availability to the public. A questionnaire has issued to all post-primary schools and when the results of the survey are available, further consideration will be given to the whole situation.
