No directives in relation to nurses have yet been adopted by the European Communities. Draft directives relating to self-employed general nurses were submitted to the council in October, 1969, and are still under consideration.
The drafts cater for that category of nurses within the six existing member states of the Communities and do not provide for nursing qualifications granted in this country or in the United Kingdom.
