andMr. L. Belton asked the Minister for Education if he will indicate the position concerning the students who were attending St. Xaviers national school, Dorset Street, Dublin.

Details of the arrangements to be made in regard to the future provision for pupils attending St. Francis Xavier's Girls' NS have not yet been completed. In the meantime the school has been continued in operation.

Some parents have transferred their children to other schools as from the opening of these schools after the summer vacation, with the result that the number of pupils on the roll of the St. Francis Xavier's school in the quarter ending 30th September, 1972, was only about 16. We are endeavouring to amalgamate with another school.

asked the Minister for Education the total number of children attending schools in Ballyfermot, Dublin at the latest available date.

The total average attendance at the primary schools in Ballyfermot for the quarter ended 30th September, 1972, was 5,613. The total enrolment in post-primary schools for the school year 1972-73 is 2,058.
