The school requirements of all areas in the country are under constant review in my Department. This review takes into account the latest census figures and population forecasts. The Department are also in regular contact with the planning sections of the local authorities.
The requirements of each area in Counties Meath and Kildare are accordingly under constant review in the Department. School facilities will be extended as the need arises.
It is the normal practice to seek to anticipate that need about two years in advance. It would not, therefore, be possible to give any firm indication as to what the position will be up to 1978.
