The Forest and Wildlife Service are acquiring 39 acres of land at Cairn Hill from the Land Commission and possession is expected within the next few weeks. The lands will be developed for afforestation.
Following acquisition it is intended to open negotiations with other owners on the hill to purchase further lands suitable for afforestation.
