Vol. 265 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Mayo Road.

121.

asked the Minister for Finance if he proposes to provide funds from the Central Development Committee for the development of a stretch of road from Belmullet to the new fishery harbour at Ballyglass, County Mayo.

122.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received an application for payment of funds from the Central Development Fund to improve the road from Belmullet to Ballyglass in order to facilitate the building of the new harbour at Ballyglass, County Mayo.

123.

asked the Minister for Finance if it is proposed that the Central Development Fund will be the source of funds for the improvement of the road from Belmullet to Ballyglass, County Mayo.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 121, 122 and 123 together. The Central Development Committee received an application from Mayo County Development Team for a grant to meet the cost of improving the road between Belmullet and Ballyglass. It would not be permissible to use the Special Regional Development Fund for road works. The Minister for Local Government in reply to an earlier question has indicated his willingness to make funds available from the Road Fund to meet the cost of road improvements between Belmullet and Ballyglass.
