Except in the cases of Cork and Kildare the amount of the pay increases granted as from 1st January, 1973, was 4 per cent plus cost of living supplement of 63p per week in accordance with the second phase increase provided for under the Employer-Labour Conference National Agreement, 1970.

Cork—the terms of the Employer-Labour Conference National Agreement, 1972, have operated as from 1st July, 1972, and a supplementary increase of 10p per week applied as from 1st January, 1973.

Kildare—under an agreement between the unions and the local authority the wages of roadworkers are related to those of agricultural and building workers. An increase of 5p per week applied as from 1st January, 1973.
