The levels of new house and improvement grants are continually under review in my Department. The new house grants were revised under the Housing Act, 1970, and a further revision is not contemplated immediately. I am, however, undertaking a housing stock survey and a comprehensive review of the scheme of grants administered by my Department. When that review is completed I will consider what changes, if any, are desirable.
